The 2025 edition of the Old Mutual National High Schools Quiz Competition promises to be a bigger and better with an array of exciting prizes for the best schools in quiz.
Running in its 40th year, the competition is set for June and July with Old Mutual committing a host of prizes that will directly benefit both learners and their educational institutions.
The package of prices include a solar package for an administration block or computer lalaboratory, borehole and water tank for school prproject, computers and prprint and smartphones for winning schools at provincial and national level.
Celebrations to mark the 40th anniversary of the competition have been scheduled for late May, and these will be held in conjunction with the National Association of Secondary School Heads (NASH).
Provincial Finals will be held as follows;6 June 2025 – Harare, Manicaland, Mashonalnd East, Matabeleland South and Midlands, 29 June 2025 – Bulawayo, Mashonaland Central, Mashonaland West, Masvingo and Matabeleland North.
The winners of the Provincial Finals will get to visit Old Mutual Zimbabwe’s head office in Harare for an exciting and empowering session on financial literacy.
That will be followed by a tour of Liberation City whose construction is being spearheaded by the Institute of African Knowledge (INSTAK).
The National Finals of the Old Mutual High Schools Quiz will be held on 4 July 2025 and this year’s competition is being championed alongside the Book of African Records.
The annual competition is not only part of Old Mutual Zimbabwe’s corporate social responsibility Programme, it is also a catalyst for the development of the education sector in Zimbabwe through promotion of exciting ways of encouraging the quest for knowledge.
