Orlando Pirates coach José Riveiro is set to step down at the end of the season  following his decision not to renew his contract beyond its current term.

The Buccaneers confirmed that  the  49 year old, affectionately known as the Spanish Guitar will be stepping down at the  end of the season, describing his remaining fixtures as the last dance for the Spanish born mentor.

Spanish Guitar has been superb  with his team currently in position second position in the league, , semi finalist in the Nedbank Cup as they aim to defend the tittle for the third time and the CAF champions league quarter finalist, vying for the semi final spot after securing a 1-0 away  first leg victory in Algeria.

If the Spanish maestro wins the champions league and Nedbank Cup, he  will cement his name as a legendary coach in the history of the Bucs.

He will be forever remembered for delivering Cup trophies. He has already won all five cup finals he has  played with Soweto giants  namely, MTN 8 2022, 2023 and 2024, Nedbank Cup 2023,and 2024 since joining Pirates in 2022.
