BEITBRIDGE women are warming up to a proposed day of networking, empowerment and personal growth when the Petals Ladies High Tea takes place on September 26 at Beitbridge Urban Drive.

The event is expected to be held at the industrial site opposite Ha Moze Chillspot.

It is aimed at creating a platform for women to network, share ideas and encourage personal growth.

The high tea follows recent women-focused events in Beitbridge, including the Madam Boss movie launch and the Kingdom Light Global Church women’s conference, which also focused on women’s empowerment and development.

Christian Pastor Jackie Ngarande is scheduled to grace the event, where she will speak on spiritual growth, health and women’s empowerment.

Ngarande is a socialite and philanthropist who later graduated as a Christian pastor through Revival Church College.

She says following her spiritual journey, she has collaborated with prominent social media personalities, including Madam Boss.

Speaking to Ziyah News Network, event coordinator Beauty Jumbe said the gathering intends to encourage women to support and educate each other.

“The event is a get-together for women to put their minds together towards educating each other on women empowerment, health maintenance and self-growth.”

“Oftenly women live in vain towards depending on men for survival.”

She also said women would also be encouraged to explore entrepreneurship and domestic projects as ways of promoting financial independence.

Commenting on the expected event Patience Moyo, who hopes to attend, said such initiatives made women in Beitbridge feel recognised.

“We feel remembered as a town receiving such events like these, set to empower and teach women to stand for themselves.”

She also said, the event could also encourage women to seek ways of avoiding domestic violence and abuse while finding sustainable means of survival.

Women at the event are expected to dress in bright, vibrant colours and stylish fascinators as part of the high tea theme.

The red carpet provided for attendees photoshoot is scheduled to begin at 10am, while the main event will start at 12pm.
