South African kwaito star Mkhonzeni Langa, better known by his stage name Professor, has reportedly turned a new leaf in his life, shunning temptations in showbiz after he recently reinvented himself as a born again Christian.
The musician reportedly decided to clean up his act after he met his wife, a government worker in Gauteng.
According to a crew member who worked with the artist on the video for his song, Hayi, Professor refused to work with any alcohol brands while also shutting out scantily dressed vixens on the shoot.
“He made it clear that he doesn’t want alcohol. Pretty girls and models weren’t part of the video. Professor even refused the rented car, citing that he doesn’t want things that Jesus did not offer him,” said a source that spoke to Zimoja.
Professor reportedly does not frequent clubs anymore, as he prefers to spend more time with his family.
It’s heartwarming to see such a positive change in someone who was once wild like Professor. He has truly become a different person. He no longer frequents clubs and left early after the video shoot to return home to his family,” the source added.
As an example of the new changes in his life, Professor alluded to changes he had undergone, writing in one of his WhatsApp statuses:
“Nkosi lungisa zonke izinto ezonakele empilweni yami. Dumisani uJevoha ngegama lenkosi uJesu Khristu Amen.” (God, please fix every broken thing in my life).
