COSAFA sides Zambia and South Africa secured crucial victories yesterday, keeping their quarterfinal qualification hopes alive in the CAF Africa Cup of Nations Under 20 in Egypt.

 South Africa’s Amajita effortlessly hammered Sierra Leone 4-1. Sierra Leone failed to withstand South Africa ‘s attacking pressure, which led them to concede four goals in the match.

South Africa’s Tylon Smith  scoped the match of the match award after displaying a brilliant performance against Sierra Leone.

On the other hand  Zambia secured a narrow 1-0 victory against Tanzania to secure the crucial three points.

After defeating Sierra Leone, South Africa moved second in their group with 6 points, 1 point behind the group leaders Sierra Leone which has 7 points, while  Zambia moved to third in the group with 5 points, ahead of the hosts Egypt which has 4 points.

Meanwhile, Tunisia will face fellow North African  side Morocco at 1700hours today, while Kenya will be battling Nigeria.
