BEITBRIDGE — The border town of Beitbridge came alive with elegance and ambition on Saturday night as business leaders, government officials, and community members gathered for the inaugural Beitbridge Business Expo (BBE) Fundraising Dinner, held at the beautifully lit Ronnies’ Sports Arena.
The event, themed “Dinner Under the Stars,” was a dazzling celebration of Beitbridge’s growing vision to become Southern Africa’s next great hub for trade and investment.
Fundraising Dinner they say.

It was, as BBE board member Nompumelelo Chigwinya fondly described, “a pleasant sapatina-sapatina evening.”
A Night of Elegance and Purpose
The Roonies Sports Arena was transformed into a breathtaking open-air ballroom the perfect setting for a night that merged style with purpose.
Fairy lights draped across the arena glimmered like constellations, while gold-and-white table décor shimmered softly beneath the Beitbridge night sky.
Guests arrived in their finest attire gentlemen in crisp suits, and ladies in flowing gowns and dazzling jewellery.
A gentle breeze carried the aroma of grilled meats and spiced vegetables, complementing the live jazz band that filled the night with soulful melodies.
Dinner featured a blend of local and continental dishes, including stewed beef, grilled pork, gourmet sadza, and sautéed vegetables, followed by honey-infused desserts and sparkling beverages.
This was Beitbridge’s who is who night on parade with different perfumes in the air as smiles were traded in an atmosphere so chilling.
Forget the daytime heatwave, look away from dusty streets, this was style!
