FOR award-winning fashion designer Passion Chikovo, walking down the aisle was not just about marrying the love of her life.
It was about wearing her own vision, showcasing her craft and turning her dream wedding into a runway of 24 self-designed masterpieces.
Passion Chikovo exchanged vows with Tatenda Venge, the younger brother of a local businessman Felix Venge populary known as Samas on October 3, 2026.
From her bridal looks to the outfits worn by her bridal party and the mothers of the couple, Passion ensured that her signature touch was woven into the celebrations.
The result was a wedding in which the bride was not only the centre of attention but also the creative mind behind the fashion story.
While many brides entrust their wedding wardrobes to professional designers, Passion took a different approach.
She became the designer behind her own fairytale, creating a total of 24 outfits for the wedding celebrations.
The collection included her bridal outfits, among them a second look designed for the occasion, alongside dresses for the bridesmaids, the matron of honour and the mini-bridesmaid.
She also designed outfits for her mother and her mother-in-law, ensuring that the women closest to the couple were part of her carefully planned fashion vision.
Her creativity had already been on display during the lobola celebrations, for which she also designed her own outfits. From the traditional proceedings to the wedding day, her fashion choices reflected a consistent vision that followed her journey into marriage.

Rather than simply choosing what to wear, Passie created the looks herself making her wedding a celebration of both her love story and her craft.
Passie’s decision to design her own wedding wardrobe comes as little surprise to those familiar with her achievements.
The Beitbridge-based fashion entrepreneur has earned recognition through several awards and accolades, establishing herself as a notable creative talent in the local fashion scene.
Her achievements include People’s Choice Awards recognition as Best Fashion Designer at the Sundrive Coalition Awards and recognition at the Beitbridge Business Expo.
She has also distinguished herself in entrepreneurship, earning first runner-up in the Young Entrepreneur of the Year category in 2023 and second runner-up in 2025.
These milestones reflect her commitment to growing her brand and pursuing her ambitions in fashion and business.
Her wedding offered a personal demonstration of that experience.
Beyond the fashion, the union brought together family and well-wishers to celebrate the couple’s new chapter.
The celebrations were marked by generous contributions from family members, with cash gifts, property and livestock among the reported offerings to the newlyweds.
Speaking to Ziyah News Network a week after the wedding, while taking a well-deserved break following the big day, Passion said the celebration had unfolded according to the vision she had carried in her mind.
“Regarding my wedding, it was my perfect, perfect wedding, and I can safely say the best wedding of the year. Everything matched my standards and expectations, be it from service providers,” she said.
Passion Chikovo’s wedding to Tatenda Venge stands out as a story of love intertwined with ambition, creativity and personal expression.
Twenty-four masterpieces, a celebrated fashion journey and a wedding envisioned by the bride herself Passion Chikovo did not just wear her fairytale. She designed it.
Ziyah News Network congratulates Mr and Mrs Venge and wishes them a lifetime of love, happiness and shared success.
