South Africa’s Netball national team , the Spar Proteas beat hosts England by 61-59 at the ongoing four Nations Cup in Nottingham England. The tournament is also featuring Uganda and Malawi.


Following their convincing 62-32 over Malawi on their opening match, England capitulated to Proteas in their second match.


Fifth ranked South Africa had earlier on secured a comfortable 75-40 victory against fellow African side Uganda before defeating the much fancied England by a narrow 2 points.


After defeating England, Netball South Africa took their social media to highlight the importance of their team ‘s victory.


“What a match, heart, hustle and pure determination. A performance to be proud of, momentum is building,” Netball South Africa stated.


Meanwhile, England is set to battle with Uganda , while Malawi will take on South Africa in the final group stage fixtures on Saturday 8 February before the third place play-offs and final on the following day.


The tightly contested four nations tournament brings together England, South Africa, Malawi and Uganda, with South Africa seemingly bossing the tournament by securing back to back victories.
