South African giants and one of Africa’s representatives, Mamelodi Sundowns are set to battle against Ulsan HD FC tomorrow at 00.00 in the Club World Cup in USA.
Following their 2016 Club World Cup debut, which was a disappointing with losses in all their matches, Mamelodi Sundowns will be hoping to do better in their second appearance in group F, starting with a match against Ulsan at the expanded Club World Cup.
Former Mamelodi Sundowns captain and legend Hlompho Kekana highlighted on the Pitchside Podcast that the Sundowns – Ulsan match will be a crucial match and a must win match for the Brazilians.
“This is a do or die match, if we don’t win this match, you know how difficult it can be for us but we can make things easy for ourselves by just winning our first match and that will put us in a very good position,” Kekana stated.
Meanwhile, Warriors defender Devine Lunga is amongst the 26 man squad that will feature in this tournament for Mamelodi Sundowns.
Lunga is set make his debut in this competition and he might become the second Zimbabwean footballer to feature in the Club World Cup, after Khama Billiat who did so with Mamelodi Sundowns.
Mamelodi Sundowns are in Group F alongside Borusia Dortmund , Fluminense and Ulsan.
