Former Norton legislator Temba Mliswa celebrated his daughter Mudiwa‘s acquittal after she was arrested on possession of drugs.

Reports on X reveal that Temba Mliswa has shown that he was delighted after the presiding magistrate Ruth Moyo ruled that the state failed to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt against Mudiwa.

“The law is the law,I’m glad that the due process was followed and no one is above the law,its important to know that even the children of politicians must not subject” Mliswa said.

Efforts to curb drug abuse in the country are being implemented around the country to get rid of the drug scourge amongst youth. The department of Social Development and the Ministry of Secondary and Primary Education have been implementing awareness campaigns to equip those in schools to resist from drug use.

Mliswa a Zimbabwean politician and Bussinessman also encouraged his daughter and other youth to advocate, resist from use of drugs.

“As children they should know, and realise that Mtoriro Guka it’s not right to take drugs in life, we have a task to fight and still urge the government to even come up with standards so that no one is indulge this things.” Mliswa said.
