A fatal road traffic accident claimed the lives of three people and left five others injured on the Harare-Mutare Road near Marondera over the weekend.
The collision occurred at approximately 9:00 PM at the 118-kilometer peg, involving a Toyota Aqua with three passengers and a Toyota Hilux carrying four occupants.
The vehicles collided head-on, resulting in the immediate deaths of three individuals.
The deceased were taken to Marondera Provincial Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations. The five injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment at the same hospital.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is conducting further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent such tragic incidents.
