The Central Region Soccer League Division One football fraternity has been plunged into mourning following the death of Chapungu coach Tawanda Marimo.
Chapungu extended their condolences to the Marimo family and the rest of the football community. .
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to coach Marimo ‘s family, friends and loved ones during this difficult time” Chapungu Football Club wrote.
Chapungu ‘s match day 15 against Hard Rock FC scheduled for Baghdad stadium tomorrow has been the postponed due to the passing of coach Marimo.
In a statement, Hard Rock FC also expressed condolences to Chapungu Football Club and the Marimo family.
“The club president Mr. Shepherd Magodora Chahwanda, the Chairman, Executive, Technical Team and Supporters of Hard Rock FC join the ZIFA Central Region Family in mourning the untimely passing of coach Tawanda Marimo, the head Coach of Chapungu FC,” said the title contenders.
Hard Rock. further stated that Marimo was a dedicated leader, a true servant of football and a source of inspiration within the football community. His passing for the game and commitment to nurturing talent will be deeply missed.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and Chapungu FC fraternity and all who were touched his work and life,” Hard Rock FC stated.
