Zimbabwe’s oldest football club, Highlanders have parted ways with their Zambian import coach, Kelvin Kaindu, announcing the move yesterday and citing unsatisfactory results as the push factor.
Bosso, finally ran out of patience with the returning Kaindu as the Zambian paid the price for an inconsistent first half of the season that has seen the Bulawayo giants occupying position 9 at the halfway mark of the season.
With just 5 wins in 17 games, the guillotine ultimately fell on Kaindu who will rue the many draws his team has recorded in the period under review. The team has recorded 8 draws and if they had converted those draws into wins, Kaindu will still be in his position but alas it was not to be.
With Bosso on 23 points, miles off the leading pack, the club had to act and announced the sacking of Kaindu in a press statement.
“Highlanders Football Club would like to inform its stakeholders of the following changes in its Technical team with immediate effect, the club has parted ways with head coach Kelvin Kaindu
The. club also said,” First Assistant Coach Try Ncube will, in the interim, head the Technical team assisted by Second Assistant Coach Agent Sawu and the rest of the technical team members will maintain their roles
As the two parties parted ways, the club wished coach Kelvin Kaindu the best in his future endeavors, thanking him for his contribution during his time of service.
