The Zimbabwean entertainment community in the UK has been plunged into mourning following the loss of Kay Cie, a prominent Zimbabwean DJ, MC, and events promoter, who tragically passed away in the early hours of Monday.
According to reports, Kudzaishe Chipadza, known professionally as Kay Cie, died at a hotel in Birmingham. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
Kay Cie had been a significant figure in the UK-Zimbabwe showbiz scene since 2008, earning recognition for his contributions to the music and events industry.
He was recently the MC at the annual SAMA Festival held in Leicester, where he played a key role in the event.
Fellow UK-based promoter King Alfred shared a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, stating, “Just woke up to hear this sad news. We have lost one of us in this music industry. Rest in bro till we meet again.”
The Zimbabwean community in the United Kingdom was left in shock and mourning following the news of Kay Cie’s passing.
His contributions to the entertainment scene and his vibrant personality will be greatly missed.
