Flamboyant businessman Wicknell Chivayo has made headlines again by gifting his lawyer, Advocate Edley Mubaiwa, a brand-new 2024 Mercedes-Benz E300. The gesture was given as a token of appreciation for Mubaiwa’s legal expertise and dedication.
Chivayo praised Mubaiwa on his Facebook page, describing him as a “lawyer par excellence” and “a distinguished lawyer and Advocate of the Superior Courts.”
He commended his integrity, humility, and unmatched legal skills. The gift is part of Chivayo’s ongoing trend of rewarding close associates with luxury vehicles.
In his post, Chivayo wrote, “Today, I wish to celebrate a DISTINGUISHED lawyer… who has served with so much INTEGRITY, honesty, DISTINCTION, eminence, and HUMILITY. His CANDIDNESS in advising me on business transactions and forensic BRILLIANCE in drawing up contracts or court applications is UNMATCHED.”
He credited fellow lawyer Advocate Sylvester Hashiti for introducing him to Mubaiwa, whom he described as one of the youngest but SHARPEST legal minds in Zimbabwe.
Chivayo shared a humorous anecdote about a recent dinner where Mubaiwa arrived in a ramshackle 1985 Toyota Hilux, noting its visibly worn-out condition. He emphasized that Mubaiwa’s dedication and attention to detail deserved recognition.
“Your EXCELLENT dedication to work and ATTENTION to detail has not gone unnoticed,” Chivayo said.
He instructed Mubaiwa to pick up the vehicle from Exquisite Motors in Harare, stating it was a well-deserved reward for his service.
“An exceptional lawyer of your calibre deserves befitting LUXURY and COMFORT. After all, submissions in court always sound much SHARPER and stronger when you drive in a MERC, ceteris paribus!” Chivayo added, including his characteristic humor and flamboyance.
Known for his generosity and active social media presence, Chivayo continues to attract attention for his lavish lifestyle and willingness to share his wealth with friends and associates.
Mubaiwa is now among the growing list of beneficiaries receiving luxury cars from the businessman.
