Debutants Vhembe Stars Academy succumbed to a narrow 1-0 loss at the hands of Jessie in their opening match of the Matebeleland South Pool A Division 2, 2025 season over the weekend.
The Beitbridge based side failed to kick start with high concentration, as they let their guard down and conceded an early first half goal against Jessie. The only goal of the match secured 3 three points for the Jessie Mine side.
Following their defeat, Vhembe Stars Academy will look forward to rectify their mistake and redeem themselves in their upcoming against Habane FC scheduled to be played at Dulibadzimu Stadium.
Meanwhile Beitbridge side, Bishopstone FC also suffered a 2-1 defeat against Platinum U19 in match day 4 of the Central Region Soccer League Division One.
Fellow Beitbridge side, Dulibadzimu United is set to battle against MSU FC in the Midlands State University Campus on Wednesday for their match day 4 campaign.
