The Beitbridge duo, Vhembe Stars Academy and Dulivhadzimu United, dropped valuable points in crucial away fixtures over the weekend.

In a notable match, Dulivhadzimu United suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat against debutants Grain Tigers at Mkoba Stadium. The loss marked coach Fortune Ncube’s first defeat since taking charge of the Border Couriers.

Meanwhile, fellow Beitbridge side Vhembe Stars Academy were held to a goalless draw by Gwanda Stars at St Christopher Stadium.

Following their 3-0 victory over Delete FC, Vhembe Stars Academy missed the opportunity to secure back-to-back wins in crucial fixtures that could have propelled them into the top two positions in the Matebeleland South Division 2 Pool A standings.

Elsewhere, the Construction Boys, Sheasham, continued their dominant form, convincingly beating Matobo 4-2 to maintain their lead atop the Central Region Soccer League.
