The Beitbridge Business Expo and the Municipality of Beitbridge, will jointly host the 2026 annual Beitbridge Corporate and People’s Choice Awards at Ronnies Sports Arena on May 30th, 2026.
Running under the theme “celebrating excellence, recognizing impact,” the prestigious gala marks a strategic shift in venue.
After a three-year tenure at the Zebra Hilltop since 2023, the event moves to Ronnies Sports Arena to accommodate its growing footprint.
The initiative serves as a benchmark for local commerce, driving market competitiveness and sustainable economic development across the region.
Event Organizer, Dr. Anna Muleya, outlined the operational framework of the event, explaining that the accolades are designed to stimulate market growth.
“The awards night are meant to celebrate corporate excellence and encourage competence and development amongst business people,” Dr. Muleya said.
“There are 30 categories included and these are divided into two sections.Some are judged by the corporate team that includes economists others are People’s choice voted for the public.” she said
Dr. Muleya also confirmed Vice President Kembo Mohadi, is expected to attend the gala as the guest of honour.
Beitbridge Municipality views the initiative as a core driver for improving industry standards and consumer satisfaction.
Town Clerk, Mr. Ramakgapola, told Ziyah News Network the municipality’s public-private alignment goals with the awards.
“Our role as Beitbridge Municipality is to ensure that we encourage businesses in the town to compete and deliver quality services,” Mr. Ramagqapola said.
He also said, the awards are a major boost and motivation to corporate businesses.
“We think if we have awards they will motivate businesses to do better thereby delivering services that are top notch.”
