The Zimbabwe Football Association has announced that the men ‘s national team, th Warriors are set to play two international friendlies against Burkina Faso and Niger in Casablanca, Morocco
The matches will be played in June. .
The custodians of Zimbabwean confirmed that the Warriors will travel to Morocco to play Burkina Faso on June, 6 and Niger on June 10 as part of their on going preparations for future competitive fixtures including the AFCON set for the same country in December.
“ The Zimbabwe football Association is pleased to announce two upcoming international friendlies matches for Zimbabwe men national team, the Warriors as part of ongoing preparations for future competitive fixtures.The Warriors will travel to Casablanca, Morocco to take on Burkina Faso on June 6 and Niger, on June 10, 2025,”ZIFA stated.
ZIFA also emphasized that these two fixtures against competitive sides, will play a crucial role in helping Michael Nees and the squad build cohesion and gain valuable competitive experience.
The team needs this kind of experience to broaden and strengthen themselves, as they will face, highly competitive opponents in the upcoming AFCON tournament and World Cup qualifiers.The development is a welcome one considering ZIFA has rarely utilised FIFA windows for international matches.
