The bottom placed team in the Central Region Soccer League, Black Eagles descend on Beitbridge to play promotion chasing Dulibadzimu United in the border town tomorrow as they seek to reignite their mini revival to avoid the dreaded chop.

So bullish is Eagles that they have warned Duliz they are coming to Beitbridge to collect maximum points buoyed by a bolstered squad in the mid-season transfer window and a house now in “order” to avoid relegation.

Their team manager Wilbert Zveshure, has boldly promised that the three nil defeat they suffered at the hands of their host in the first half of the season will not be repeated.

“During the first half of the season, Dulibadzimu came to our stadium and they beat us by 3-0, but right now we have bolstered our squad with young, energetic and very good players. I am very confident that we are not going there to make numbers, we are going there to fight for three points, if we fail to get three points am sure we will can get a point,” he said.

Zveshure added that his team’s major worry is around the match officials as the league tend to have increased cases of poor match officiating in the second half of the season.

Even though they are at the basement of the league, Eagles have shown they can play, getting their only win of the season from the then log leaders Tongogara FC and since then, performances have improved.

Meanwhile, Dulibadzimu United is ready to host the optimistic Eagles with the team reporting a clean bill of health and ready to shoot down the eagle. Coach Never Malunga said they will not be taking Eagles lightly and is psyching his boys to avoid letting complacency creep in.

“I had some loopholes when we went to Gokwe but this time everyone is available, and besides being at the bottom of the table, every team has to be treated just the same, we have to approach every game with caution.”
