The incoming Tertiary Education Sports Association of Zimbabwe’s first female president, Loraine Nguluvhe, confirmed that Westgate Industrial Training College in Bulawayo will host the TESAZ 2026 games, scheduled to kick off in April 2026.

“ Westgate Industrial Training College will host the TESAR 2026 games. In this 2026 edition we will be introducing Golf and Korfball. These two are our new sports that we will embrace amongst the rest of the activities in the upcoming 2026 edition, ”TESAR president Nguluvhe said.

TESAZ president Nguluvhe highlighted that there are eleven institutions that have taken part in the TESAZ games in past years.

However, in the 2026 edition, TelOne School of Excellence will be joining the group as a guest participant, just like in 2025.

In line with TESAR’s goals, President Nguluvhe said she is hoping to have a better 2026 edition.

“ We hope to improve each and every edition, and we are hoping for the bussiness community to feature so that we can be able to support the talent in TESAZ. We want to be an organisation that gives more than medals, I mean being able to compensate the winners with monetary value for their effort and dedication because sport is also a source of living,” Nguluvhe stated.

TESAZ serves as the governing body for sports in Zimbabwean polytechnics. It promotes wellness and integrates sports with education and raises podium athletes nationally.
