THE Beitbridge West cluster athletics competition has been concluded, with Zezani emerging the winner with an outstanding performance.
The Beitbridge West cluster athletics started yesterday and were completed Friday, 6 February 2026.
Zezani High School walked away with 36 gold medals, 15 silver, and 7 bronze, finishing tops, followed by Kwalu Secondary, which bagged 29 gold, 28 silver, and 30 bronze medals.
Siyoka was third with 20 gold medals, 34 silver, and 25 bronze, while Malikuwa finished last with 17 gold medals, 19 silver, and 20 bronze medals.
George Mageleza from Zezani’s athletics department said the competition has lapsed a little, however, they will try their best and improve in the district.
“The competition has lapsed in terms of quality, but we will try our best come Chamnangana on the 19th of February,” Mageleza said.
The Beitbridge West cluster will compete against Southern, Central, and Eastern sides on February 19 at Chamnangana for the Beitbridge district title as they look to select a team that will represent the district in the Mat South Provincial competitions.
