The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has issued a statement distancing themselves from the travelling arrangements of Mighty Warriors fans to Pretoria.

Following social media reports that stated that some fans were left stranded after Zimbabwe and Angola ‘s match, ZIFA has vehemently denied any involvement in the fans’ travel logistics, clarifying that they were not responsible for facilitating the supporters’ trip to Pretoria.

“ZIFA wishes to categorically state that it was never responsible for the travelling arrangements or logistics for these supporters. The fans in question made their own travels and liaised directly with the transport providers who facilitated their journey to Pretoria. At no point ZIFA involved in coordinating or financing their trip,” ZIFA stated.

ZIFA also urges the affected individuals to engage directly with their providers for a resolution.

Despite ZIFA ‘s denial of any involvement in the logistics of the stranded Mighty Warriors fans, the organization has expressed empathy and understanding for the supporters’ predicament.

ZIFA has also taken the opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the fans’ unwavering dedication for the women’s national team.
