A Zimbabwean care worker has achieved a remarkable feat on the latest episode of Britain’s Got Talent, earning a golden buzzer following an electrifying performance.
Linda Mudzenda, a 21-year-old Zimbabwean national who works in the UK care sector, showcased her vocal prowess in a performance that left audience members in tears and secured her a spot in the live shows.
Mudzenda captivated the audience with a breathtaking rendition of Lauren Daigle’s “You Say,” demonstrating both technical skill and deep emotional resonance.
As she sang with her eyes closed and focused, her performance built to a climactic finish, earning her a standing ovation. The judges, usually known for their composed critiques, struggled to contain their amazement at her talent.
The emotional highlight of the episode came when judge Amanda Holden, visibly moved, stood from her chair and declared, “Britain needs to hear this voice!” before hitting the golden buzzer, showering Mudzenda with golden confetti.
Following the airing of the episode, social media platforms were flooded with messages of pride from the Zimbabwean community worldwide.
