Zimbabwe’s U17 Girls team is set to battle Zambia U17 in the COSAFA U17 Girls championship semi-final at 12.00pm at the Hage Geingob Stadium today.
The Young Mighty Warriors stormed into the semi-final as group C winners, having a superior goal difference to Botswana and Lesotho, after a 3-0 victory over Botswana and an impressive 12 – 2 victory against Lesotho.
The Copper Princesses of Zambia who finished top of Group B to secure their semi final berth and set up a fierce regional contest with Zimbabwe in the last four.
Elsewhere,Malawi and Mozambique will battle in the second semi final at 1500hours after the Zimbabwe and Zambia contest
The battle between Zambezi rivals, Zimbabwe and defending champions Zambia is likely to be tense,as the Copper Princesses look to march into the final and defend their title.
