The Zimbabwe Women Premier Soccer league disciplinary committee has ruled against Herentals Queens for breaching laws of the game and given a 14 days ultimatum to pay the fine, following the abandonment of their match with Kwekwe Queens.
In accordance to the laws and regulations, ZWPSL stated that Herentals Queens were found guilty for the abandoned match, as a result they have been fined $750 USD in total.
“After investigation, the committee found Herentals Queens in breach of the following, article 2.4. 1 :Home team failed to stop activities on two grounds, they have designated, resulting in a fine of $500USD. Article 2. 4.3. 1 : the home team failed to secure venue for the match, as the ground was unmarked, resulting in a fine of 200US;
Article 13. 3: Home team failed to confirm the match on time, resulting in a fine of $50 USD…,”ZWPSL stated.
Following the punishment, the match between Herentals Queens and Kwekwe Queens will be replayed on May 28, 2025 and all the expense will including Kwekwe ‘s are supposed to be covered by Herentals Queens team.
By doing so, the ZWPSL disciplinary Committee is trying to uphold the integrity of the game.
