The Confederation of African Football has dismissed a statement circulating claiming that Simba FC will host RS Berkane at Benjamin Mkapa stadium in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final.
CAF highlighted that the statement is a fake document indicating that the venue for the Confederation Cup final second leg remained changed as the match will be held at Tanzania at the Amaan Stadium on May 25, 2025.
Meanwhile, Moroccan club, RS Berkane has secured a 2-0 victory in the first leg of Confederation Cup final in Morocco and they will turn to the much anticipated return fixture on the island of Zanziba.
A 2-0 home victory against Simba FC, lives RS Berkane with an an edge over their rival however Simba FC is a highly spirited team known for its comeback and backed by the home crowd ,anything can happen.
The CAF Confederation Cup champion between RS Berkane and Simba FC is set to be awarded a new trophy that will be unveiled later this week.
