Match day 5 of the African Marathon games towards the 2026 World Cup are set to kick start today marking the beginning of a week of thrills and spills as countries battle it out for a place and the biggest football tournament in the world.
As games begin, one of the unpredictable fixtures lined up is between perennial underachievers Eswatini and Indomitable lions of Cameron tonight at Mbombela stadium.
Many football enthusiasts believe the Indomitable lions will easily cruise past the Sihlangu Semnikati boys (king ‘s shield).
Eswatini comes into this game with a winless run stretching games while Cameroon have got their World Cup qualifications journey to in a healthy state after securing 8 points from 4 games and seating pretty on top of the log.
Elsewhere, , Liberia will battle against Tunisia while Central Africa Republic will face COSAFA member in Madagascar tonight at 6pm.
The 2026 World Cup qualifiers’ past fixtures have been full of surprises as underdogs have been posting results that have shown the giants tag could be a thing of the past.
