IN a story fit only for fairy tale novels and voodoo movies where strange powers reign, a Beitbridge octogenarian met and beat a 36 year old man trying to rape her.
The old woman, would not take it having the sunset of her life spoilt by a someone who could easily be her grandson.
She turned the tables on him going for a blow below the belt, and grabbing what hurt most, if police allegations are anything to go by.
State papers say when the young man thought she was subdued, she suddenly seized him by the front and pulled him so hard rendering him immobile to win what may be one of her last physical fights.
The young man is expected to appear before regional magistrate Charity Maphosa on Tuesday September 2.
