Bulawayo – The ZRP is investigating a daring case of armed robbery that took place yesterday at approximately 10:00 AM at a local bar situated at the corner of 13th Avenue and R Mugabe Way, where robbers flee with USD 4,300
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police, three unidentified suspects attacked the staff members who were counting the day’s cash takings.
“Three suspects who are yet to be identified attacked the staff members as they were counting the daily cash takings and held them hostage. They then stole USD 4 300.00 cash and went away.”
Police swiftly attended the scene after receiving the report and mobilized all the relevant sections who attended the scene within the shortest possible time. Despite their swift response, the suspects had already escaped by the time authorities arrived.
In related developments, the ZRP has announced the arrest of suspects involved in other armed robberies across Bulawayo suburbs, including Cowdray Park, Makokoba, and Nkulumane.
These individuals were apprehended while armed with machetes and other weapons, suspected of engaging in violent criminal activities.
