Beitbridge Town Council has finally received the correct grader after a four year wait , thanks to the hardwork of their legal representative Tererai legal practice.
The Road construction machine was purchased in October of 2021 for a value of USD 225 000 which was paid in ZW equivalent of 21 899 250 unfortunately the supplier ESP Capital equipment failed the assignment supplying the wrong grader which was rejected by the municipality of Beitbridge.
Efforts to reach consensus over the grader out of court did not yield results leaving the municipality with no option but to approach the court in 2023 to force the delivery of the purchased grader.
The court process dragged on for almost another two years, until council through their legal practitioner ,obtained a court order against ESP Capital equipment to deliver the correct grader which has now been delivered.
The delivered grader is expected to go a long way in helping the Municipality of Beitbridge in service delivery especially roads in old and emerging suburbs.
