Beitbridge-Torch bearers of netball in the border town, Beitbridge Stars has finished a credible 5th position in their Premier Netball league 2024 campaign, a vast improvement from the 13th position they were last season.

Beitbridge stars have been on fire, winning their last four games of the season in style. The Beitbridge based team effortlessly beat Mutare city 61-34, comprehensively smashed Marondera 83 -24, JT High Fliers 64-34 and Seven flames 65-29

Speaking to Ziyah News Network, Beitbridge Stars coach Tatenda Shinya famously known as Ninja highlighted that it was a good season for the club despite failure to finish in the top 4.

“Am happy as a coach winning 13 out of 15 games in charge of the team, it really shows great improvement and great team work from everyone it was a good season for Beitbridge especially in the second half of the season losing only 2 games, I want to thank all the players, technical team and executive for working hard though we failed to finish in a podium ,but we assure you that next season is going to be ours without fail,” coach Shinya said.

The Beitbridge stars coach also highlighted on early preparation in order to improve and aims to bring the championship home in the upcoming season.

“We going to start preparing early for the next season “Coach Shinya remarked.

Elsewhere, ZDF Queens were crowned the 2024 Premier Netball League champions .the Harare based team went 30 games unbeaten on their way to securing their maiden PNL title. Meanwhile Black Rhinos finished on position two, 6 points behind the champions.
