A 40 year old woman from Chief Sitaudze Beitbridge was sentenced to pay USD200 by the 25th of November 2024 or face 3 months imprisonment for contravening the Parks and Wildlife Act.

She was convicted by the Beitbridge Magistrate Court.

The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ), reports that police detectives received information to the effect that Constance Ndou was selling game meat. Following up on the information, they found Ndou in possession of 22 meat bundles at her house in Dulivhadzimu, Beitbridge.

Ndou failed to produce a permit or licence which allows her to remove any a product from one place to another, leading to her arrest. The recovered meat which was certified to be that of impala weighed 4,872 kg. The impala was valued at USD1360.
