A Beitbridge woman has been granted a 12 month peace order against her husband’s lover at the Beitbridge Civil Court.

Naomi Elizabeth Keke was the applicant. Sandra Ndou was the respondent. The matter was heard before Provincial Magistrate Mbonisi Kaweni.

Keke told the court that Ndou was impregnated by her husband and was disturbing her peace.

“The lady Sandra was impregnated by my husband and she disturbs my peace in my home and also on my phone,” said Keke.

She said she blocked Ndou, but she continues to insult her in public.

“I blocked her and when she meets me she insults me on the road. My child uses that road, so I want a peace order for her to stay away from me,” said Keke.

Ndou opposed the application. She said she has children with Keke’s husband and cannot stay away from their home.

“I can’t stay away from their house because I have children with him, so when I can’t reach him I have to visit my child,” said Ndou.

She denied insulting Keke.

“I oppose that she says I insult. She looked for my relatives on Facebook, that is why I reacted,” said Ndou.

Kaweni granted the order in favour of Keke.

“The respondent is barred from visiting, communicating with and verbally abusing the applicant for 12 months,” ruled Kaweni.
