The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has issued a statement addressing recent misinformation regarding the death of Blessed Believe Juruvenge.

 The police emphasized their commitment to transparency and outlined the steps taken following the incident.

According to the ZRP, relatives and neighbors of the deceased visited Police General Headquarters on the day the death was reported. The police responded promptly by opening a murder docket and arresting Constable Prince Ndavambi, who was identified as the suspect. However, the suspect has since disappeared and is currently at large.

Authorities are actively seeking his arrest, with Police Commissioner-General Stephen Mutamba affirming that the law will be allowed to take its course without interference.

The police also clarified conflicting reports about the post-mortem examinations. Two separate examinations were conducted by pathologists Dr. Guillen and Dr. Jabangwe adding, “The family of the deceased remains free to appoint an independent pathologist if they wish to obtain a second opinion, in accordance with national legal procedures.”

The ZRP assured the public that the investigation is ongoing, and the suspect’s case will be thoroughly processed and presented to the courts for prosecution. The exact charges will depend on the findings of the police inquiry and the post-mortem reports.

The police called on the media to report responsibly and objectively, avoiding the distortion of facts related to this sensitive case. They also appealed to anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward to aid in his swift arrest, ensuring justice for Blessed Believe Juruvenge.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police reaffirmed their dedication and commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that justice is served in this unfortunate case.
