A heavy snow storm has lashed Masvingo, Zimbabwe’s oldest city, where several houses had their roofs blown off.
A Beitbridge resident in Masvingo who witnessed the fierce storm said the snow s about 30 centimetres thick and strong easterly winds accompanied the fall, a strange phenomena in the town and country.
“It was heavy and ssveral houses had their roofs blown off. It was a strange surprise storm,” said the a Beitbridge resident.
Videos from Masvingo showed snowballs at a city hotel while lawns were white.
