The much anticipated, CAF Champions league and Confederation Cup quarter-final draw is set to take place today  in Doha, Qatar.

The qualified teams will soon discover their quarterfinals opponents of the competitions, setting the stage for thrilling matchups and intense rivalries.


The  creme dela creme list of eight quarter-finalist which includes, the defending champions Aly Ahly FC, Orlando Pirates ,ES Tunis ,Pyramids FC,Mamelodi Sundowns ,Al Hilal SC ,MC Alger and Asfar FC. While the Confederation Cup final eight consist of Simba SC, RS Berkane, USM Alger, Zamelek SC, CS Constantine, Stellenbosch FC, Al Masry SC and Asec Mimosas.

Twelve time winners, and defending champions Al Ahly will be  looking forward to have a better run as they seek to become the first club to ever lift the trophy three times in a row. The Egyptian giants have the quality and experience to beat any team in this competition.

Amongst the eight CAF Champions league quarterfinalist , Sudan’Al Hilal and Egypt ‘s Pyramid FC have never won the trophy but Al Hilal finished runners in 1987, 1992 while Pyramids FC ‘s best run is the knockout stages.

The final 8 teams of each of the competition will learn their path to Semifinal today after the quarterfinals draw.
