The Confederation Africain Football (CAF), Dr. Patrice Motsepe will visit CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) host nations namely Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda this week. The tournament is set to be held in February of 2025.


The visit will give the CAF strongman a chance to assess the readiness of the three countries to host the CHAN tournament which features players plying their trade on the African continent.


President Motsepe is expected to meet with the host governments, football leadership and local organising committees. The president will inspect stadiums and training sites that are currently undergoing renovation process ahead of next year’s tournament.


Dr Motsepe will begin his tour today , 19 December in Dar es Salam, Tanzania before his final destination in Nairobi, Kenya and Kampala, Uganda on Friday 20 December to complete the three -nation’s tour.


The president ‘s visit comes just a few weeks after the second inspection tour of the host nations conducted by the CAF delegations earlier in November where these stadiums ,training sites ,hotels and airports were inspected.
