CHATUNGA Bellarmine Mugabe has pleaded guilty to pointing a firearm and violating South Africa’s immigration laws in connection with a shooting incident in Hyde Park earlier this year.
His co-accused, Tobias Matonhodze, also entered guilty pleas on multiple charges, including attempted murder, defeating the ends of justice, illegal immigration, and possession of ammunition.
The two appeared before the Alexandra Regional Court, north of Johannesburg, on Friday, 17 April 2026. They have been in custody ever since.
The charges stem from a February shooting involving an employee at the Mugabe residence in Hyde Park Johannesburg.
Both accused remain before the court as proceedings continue.
