Zimbabwean tennis star Sasha Natalie Chimedza shone brightly in Accra as she captured the prestigious Tennis Foundation Ghana ITF J60 Girls’ Singles title, defeating Britain’s Alisha Ndukwu in a commanding final.
Chimedza’s victory marked a historic moment for Zimbabwean tennis, as she proudly raised the country’s flag after an impressive tournament run.
Earlier this year, she made her mark by defeating Michelle Geznenge in the second round of the ITF J60 tournament held at Harare Sports Club.
In her journey to the title in Accra, Chimedza showcased her talent and determination:
First Round: Defeated Grace Chinwike (Great Britain) 7-6, 6-3
Second Round: Overcame Lamiss Houas (Tunisia) 6-3, 3-6, 6-3
Final: Triumphed over Alisha Ndukwu (Great Britain) 6-4, 6-1
