42 year old Razane Muyambo of Green Valley Chipinge has been arrested for attacking his love rival Robert Mitsi with Machete three times on the head causing severe injuries.
Razane Muyambo was arraigned before the Chipinge Magistrates’ Court and remanded in custody until February 13, 2025.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ), the incident occured at Mbuya Mtisi Homestead in Green Valley Chipinge when Razane Muyambo went to meet his girlfriend Tafadzwa Makuyana.
Approximately two hours later, the complainant, Robert Mtisi, who is also romantically involved with Tafadzwa, arrived at the scene.
A confrontation ensued between Muyambo and Mtisi escalating into a physical altercation. During the fight, Mtisi picked up stones and struck Muyambo.
In retaliation, Muyambo grabbed a machete and struck the complainant three times on the head, causing severe injuries.
The complainant Mtisi collapsed. Tafadzwa Makuyana screamed for help, prompting Muyambo to flee the scene, leaving the complainant injured and bleeding.
Mtisi was rushed to Mt Selinda Hospital, where he remains admitted.
