Its just 10 days before the much expected annual Ziyah Media soccer extravaganza, which turns three this year.

As earlier reported, this event comes bigger, better and greater as Ziyah Media teams up with Government.

Tournament organiser Arthur Muoni on Wednesday said 10 schools with nine of them from Beitbridge and defending champions Chibi High School the 10th.

“We have two groups A and B each with five teams that go into a round-robin and the winner from each group goes to the final. Runners up from the two groups square for third and fourth place,” said Muoni.

“Tongwe, Vhembe, Zezani, Siyoka and Nuli High Schools are in Group A while defending champions Chibi High, has been drawn with Malala, Fountain College, St Marys and Malungudzi High Schools. “

All other schools are from Beitbridge except Chibi which is from Masvingo Province.

Ziyah Media chief executive officer said the decision to have local schools was deliberate to give Beitbridge children opportunity to the big stag.

The tournament comes after the different ZIFA leagues throughout the country will have folded for the 2025 season and Beitbridge soccer lover will be in for a treat.

Soccer talent will be all eyes on the tournament expected to parade raw talent from across the vast Beitbridge district.

“I am looking forward to the games because young children are a marvel to watch,” said Arnold Moyo of Lutumba.
