Former ZANU PF Member of Parliament for Chegutu West, Dexter Nduna, has found himself at the center of controversy and social media ridicule after ‘graduating’ with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Zimbabwe (UZ) on Friday.
Nduna’s ‘achievement’ however, has been overshadowed by allegations that he may have faked his graduation as he is allegedly to have repeatedly failed several modules.
This is not the first time Nduna has faced scrutiny. In 2020, he drew criticism for sharing a selfie with a murder victim on social media, which raised eyebrows and sparked public outrage.
His history of controversial behavior has made this latest incident particularly noteworthy.
The controversy erupted when Nduna posted a picture of himself in a graduation gown, proudly announcing his achievement.
However, his name was reportedly missing from the official list of law graduates, leading to suspicions about the legitimacy of his degree or if he indeed graduated in the first place.
Additionally, a leaked letter allegedly from Nduna surfaced, in which he requested a review of his failed modules, claiming he wanted a remark without any political bias.
As the situation unfolds, Nduna’s academic credentials and integrity are under intense scrutiny, raising questions about the standards of accountability among public figures in Zimbabwe.
