Brenda Chipfunde , a 33 year old woman from Mbare National in Harare, has been sentenced to 50 months in prison for unlawful possession of dangerous drugs.
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ), states that the Law enforcement officers acting on a tip-off intercepted Chipfunde at Masvingo Turn-off while she was looking for transport to Harare.
Upon investigation, officers discovered that she was carrying a floral duvet blanket wrapped in transparent plastic, which concealed 6.3 kilograms of dagga (cannabis).
This case highlights the ongoing efforts by ZRP to combat drug related crimes and protect communities from the dangers associated with drug trafficking.
