BEITBRIGE stadiums, Dulibadzimu Stadium and Ronnie’s Sports Arena have got the ZIFA Central Region inspectors nod as fit to host Division One matches.

The inspection was on February 23, 2026.

Dulibadzimu Stadium is home to Dulibadzimu United and Vhembe Stars Academy, participants in the Central Region Soccer League Division One.

Speaking to Ziyah News Network, Beitbridge Municipality ‘s Environmental Senior Officer, Pio Muchena, confirmed Dulibadzimu Stadium had been approved and deemed fit to host Division One matches.

“We hosted the inspectors today at Dulibadzimu Stadium, and it was approved and seen fit to host the matches, although there are a few details that need to be corrected before the start of the season,” Muchena said.

A reliable source, who wished to remain anonymous, said Dulibadzimu Stadium needs to have a female officials’ dressing room, among other things.

“The following things need attention: field markings need to be corrected, provision for female match officials’ dressing rooms, removing soil under crossbars to maintain the correct height of goalposts, putting up a scoreboard, and securing nets,” the source said.

Meanwhile, Dulibadzimu United’s Secretary General, Combat Moyo, has said the current state of the stadium needs to be upgraded to meet PSL standards.

He said if any Beitbridge team goes into the PSL, they might struggle to have a home venue and end up playing home matches away from home, just like predecessors Border Strikers and Triple B.

“A lot needs to be done on this pitch. People need to put their heads together and see how best this can be done. This is actually one of the main reasons why Beitbridge teams struggle, because they will be strained by financial issues as they play home matches away from home,” Moyo said.

Dulibadzimu United was once home to Underhill, Triple B, and Border Strikers, who featured in the Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League.
