The battle for supremacy in the Central Region Soccer League Division One continued this past weekend with mixed fortunes for Beitbridge sides. Dulibadzimu United effortlessly hammered debutants Jame West 4 – 0 at Dulibadzimu Stadium, while Bishopstone were held to a 1-1 draw against Grain Tigers FC.
Hard on the heels of their victory against FC Platinum U19, the Border Couriers, Dulis continued with its impressive performance, lifting the spirit of its home fans by hammering Jame West 4-0 at Dulibadzimu Stadium.
The victory over Jame West leaves Dulibadzimu United sitting on 4th points with 24 points.
Fellow Beitbridge side, Bishopstone were held to a 1 all draw by debutants Grain Tigers at Muchato Stadium yesterday.
The draw over Grain Tigers has Bishopstone FC sitting in 17th position with 10 points level with Jame West, Dimson Mvuma and Shabane Mine with the asbestos miners having a superior goal difference.
Elsewhere, former Premier Soccer league side, Sheasham stunned last season title contenders Tongogara 2-1.
The Construction Boys remain on top of the Central Region Soccer League table with 36 points, 3 points ahead of debutants Hard Rock FC, which was held to a 1-1 draw by fellow debutants Gwanda Pirates at Phelandaba Stadium over the weekend.
