THE Zimbabwe Council of Churches will host its end-of-month indoor games on August 2 at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zimbabwe, Beitbridge Mission School, promoting fellowship among young Christians.

Running under the theme “Faith Over Fear,” the programme will feature an eating competition, Bible quiz and drinking competition.

The event will also include entertainment from Limpopo Boyz, a Beitbridge-based gospel male singing group known for performing gospel song covers at festivals.

Zimbabwe Council of Churches secretary Misheck Kaurimbo said the games are designed to strengthen relationships among young people from different churches.

“The games aim to promote Christian fellowship and bonding among youths from different churches,” he said

He said preparations were progressing well, with organisers expecting strong youth participation.

“Preparations are going well, and we expect a massive turnout from all churches, especially the youth,” he said.

He also said, initiatives like these help keep youths away from crime activities, drugs and substance abuse hence the community should normalize providing such platforms.

Youths from several churches, including the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zimbabwe (ELCZ), Reformed Church in Zimbabwe, Salvation Army, Methodist Church in Zimbabwe and other denominations, are expected to participate in these games.
