LOCAL Government and Public Construction Minister Daniel Garwe has arrived in Beitbridge Reception to appraise himself on behalf of Government on the situation of the historic forced repatriation of thousands of Zimbabwean and other African foreigners in South Africa.
Garwe is accompanied by the United Nations Resident And Humanitarian coordinator Rosemary Kalapurakal.
They are expected to hear reports of different stakeholders who to date have handled more than 100 000 returnees from Zimbabwe and close to 70 105 from Malawi in transit through Beitbridge since June 30.
Prior to the meeting the meeting of about 120 stakeholders held a minute of silence for two returnees who died on the way to Zimbabwe.
