Hardrock FC remained at the top of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League table after Matchday 16, holding first place with 31 points despite having played one game fewer than most of their title rivals.

According to PSL updates, the leaders have collected nine wins, four draws and only two defeats from 15 matches, giving them a superior goal difference of +17 that keeps them ahead of the chasing pack.

However, the race for the championship remains extremely close as Scotland FC and Caps United FC are level with Hardrock on 31 points.

Scotland FC sit second after playing 16 matches, recording eight wins, seven draws and just one defeat while maintaining an impressive goal difference of +14.

Caps United FC occupy third position after winning nine of their 16 games, but their goal difference of +7 leaves them behind the top two clubs despite matching their points tally.

Ngezi Platinum Stars FC continue to apply pressure in fourth place with 29 points after suffering only one defeat in 16 matches this season.

Herentals College FC complete the top five on 28 points and remain firmly in contention for the leading positions following eight victories from their opening 16 fixtures.

Dynamos FC moved into sixth place with 25 points from 15 matches and could significantly boost their standing if they make the most of their game in hand.

FC Platinum are seventh with 23 points after a campaign marked by consistency rather than dominance.

Highlanders FC and MWOS FC are level on 22 points in eighth and ninth positions respectively, keeping themselves within touching distance of the top half of the table.

Simba Bhora FC occupy 10th place with 21 points, while Chicken Inn FC are 11th with 19 points after a mixed start to the season.

ZPC Kariba FC sit 12th on 17 points and remain clear of immediate relegation danger.

Bulawayo Chiefs FC are 13th with 16 points, while FC Hunters are 14th on 14 points as both clubs continue their fight to move away from the bottom end of the standings.

Agama FC and Manica Diamonds FC are tied on 12 points in 15th and 16th positions respectively, leaving them under pressure heading into the next round of fixtures.

TelOne FC are second from bottom with 11 points after managing only two wins from 16 matches.

Triangle United FC remain rooted at the foot of the table with nine points and face an uphill battle to climb out of the relegation zone.

With just two points separating the top five teams, the championship race remains wide open as the league heads into another crucial round of matches.
