DULIBADZIMU United FC vice-chairman Rex Mphisa has withdrawn his injunction application against the club, Mandla Moyo, and Christian Magwali, to comply with FIFA Statutes Article 59. 2.

In a court application dated Wednesday, 10 June 2026, Mphisa confirmed the withdrawal.

“I, the undersigned Rex Tumelo Mphisa, do hereby make an oath and state the following: I am the Applicant in this matter. I am withdrawing the Court Application for an ex parte application against the respondents,” the statement reads.

Mphisa had earlier filed an injunction order against Moyo, Magwali, and Dulibadzimu United FC that stopped the club’s Annual General Meeting and executive elections.

“As a man who dearly loves football and embraces the community team” Mphisa said I withdrew to comply with FIFA Statutes Article 59.2, which forbids clubs, players, officials, leagues, and member associations from taking “football disputes” to Magistrate Courts, High Courts, or any national civil courts. Under FIFA rules, such disputes must be handled through internal football structures and the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Prior to his withdrawal, Mphisa revealed that he had pushed for an injunction order to seek answers and stop ills happening behind closed doors.

“The club sells players every time but as an executive we don’t even know how they have been moving around,” Mphisa said.

“Some things have not been going right in this club. These things affect the club’s performance and it is something which is worrisome to the community and football lovers,” he added.

The off-field chaos continued to spill onto the pitch on Tuesday as Dulibadzimu United suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Kwekwe United in a Central Region Soccer League Division One Match Day 11 fixture at Baghdad Stadium.

Following a 3-1 defeat to Shabanie Mine and the 4-0 loss to Kwekwe United, Dulibadzimu United are currently struggling and failing to pick up any winning rhythm in the Central Region Soccer League Division One.

The vice-chairman attributed Dulibadzimu’s inconsistent results over the past seasons to internal wrangles among executives, claiming some decisions are made without the knowledge of the full executive committee.
